Welcome to the ACP Art Online Exhibition
Some of our Painting and Drawing tasks
Hyper Realism

Students learnt about Hyper-realism and looked at artists that create hyper-realistic art. Students then created hyper-realism paint blobs using color pencils.

Steampunk Animals

Students looked at the Steampunk movement. They then created Steampunk inspired animals where they were asked to include value and drawing techniques.

Landscapes

Students created landscapes using acrylic paint and working from reference image of their choice.

School Mural

The students of Drawing and Painting collaborated on a mural that will be displayed in our new school. Our mural was inspired by Australian artist Imants Tillers and was created to highlight the landscape that surrounds us and the important attributes of our ACP culture. Scroll down on this page or click here to see our mural, and be sure to drop into our new campus to see it in person!

Symbolic Self Portraits

Students were asked to create a symbolic still life, using objects that symbolized them in their composition. Students were able to choose the medium in which they worked.

Some of our Ceramics tasks
Identity Boxes

Students were introduced to symbolism. They were then asked to create ceramic boxes using the slab technique, then decorate the sides of the boxes with symbols that represented them and their identity.

Art Movement Inspired Teapots

Students were asked to choose an art movement, then design a teapot or vase inspired by that art movement.

Bird Houses

Students learnt about the requirements of bird houses in our local area, then they created their own. This task was designed to introduce students to working with a client brief.

Sgraffito Mugs

For our final exam in Q4, we created sgraffito mugs for a Swiss Miss party that we had on the last day of school. Students were required to hand build their mug, then use the sgraffito technique to decorate their mug.

Name Plates

Students begun their course by creating name plates that would identify their storage space to keep their ceramics work in progress works. Students were asked to include textures and symbols that were relevant to them.

School Mural
schoolmural

This mural that was created for our new campus was created by the students of Drawing and Painting. Each student was given a board or piece of the mural, then we collaborated to join them altogether.

Our mural was inspired by Australian artist Imants Tillers and was created to highlight the landscape that surrounds us and the important attributes of our ACP culture. The way in which the mural was created, by bringing together our separate pieces also encompasses the coming together of many people to build the family that is ACP. Be sure to drop into our new campus next year to see it in person!
