Froggy Name Plate

Clay and glaze. This piece is made out of clay using a slab of clay and other clay to decorate. The letters, leaf, and frog eyes and hands were made by hand. The leaf was texturized by pressing a silicone mold into the clay. It was then covered in multiple shades of green glaze and brown glaze.

Clay and glaze. This piece was made by using many different slabs of clay. The top was carved out of a slab and the walls were put together using a slip and score method. The top and bottom were decorated with small hand made clay flowers, balls, and a bee. It was then glazed with brown, green, and blue glazes.

Bowl Full of Love

Clay and glaze. This piece is made out of clay using a coil pot method. The coils were smoothed out, which explains the smooth texture instead of coils. The hearts were made by hand and were connected to the bowl using a slip and score method. Finally, the piece was covered in a tangelo, light blue, and white glaze and placed in the kiln.

Contrasting Scenes Sgraffito Bowl

Clay and underglaze. This bowl was made out of clay and formed using the ceramic wheel. The technique of sgraffito was used to create the stars and hearts designs after pink and black underglaze was placed on top of the leather hard clay.
