Name Plate Clay and glaze	Kirby on a Log Clay and glaze	Cherry Blossoms Clay and glaze. This piece was based off of kintsugi, or “golden joinery,” the process of repairing broken pottery with lacquer mixed with powdered gold. The sharp and jagged lines reminded me of tree branches, so I thought it was fitting to add cherry blossoms. Ideally, the branches/ cracks would have been more golden, but I still like the outcome. This plate reminds me of spring, my favorite season.
